Finals Instructions for LTWL 116

Term Paper Galore

  • Students who have signed up for a single long term paper must turn them in on the last day of instruction—Thursday, June 6.
  • Students who have received a composite total score of 16 or more on the first two quizzes may be excused from the final test. Your two quizzes will count as three (i.e., 45% of final grade). However, in order to skip the final, you must turn in your final paper by the end of the work day (4:30 pm), Monday, June 10. Any later and you must either take the final test or be graded late.
  • I will accept papers in my office on Monday from 11:30 to 4:30. If you wish to turn yours in before 11:30, take it to the Literature department office (opposite end of the hall from my office).
  • If you must take the final test, you may turn in your paper then.
  • If you want to pick up your paper next quarter without waiting for my office hours, you may have it left in the department office by writing “Privacy Waiver” on the top of the front page and signing your name underneath. If you want it mailed to you, clip it to an envelope of appropriate size with sufficient postage and a correct address. I will mail it as soon as grades are turned in.
  • Be prepared for emergencies like computer problems. Always back up each draft of your paper. You have enough to do during finals without having to write a paper all over again, and I have enough to do without last-minute submissions.
